Bobby Beals Presents...

Horseshoe Gallery | 1297 Bishop’s Lodge Road, Santa Fe, NM 87506
Bobby Beals Presents... Routes an exciting new exhibition showcasing the talents of photographer Kevin Beltran and printmaker Jimmy Dean Horn. The exhibition will be open to the public from August 12th to August 26th, with an opening reception on August 16th, from 4-7pm at The Horseshoe Gallery at Bishop’s Lodge.
About the Exhibition:
Routes explores the interconnectedness of place, culture, and identity through the unique perspectives of two distinct artists.
Kevin Beltran, born in Los Angeles and raised on a sovereign native reservation in western New Mexico, brings a profound and personal understanding of the landscapes, people, and structures that define the region. As a Native Person and Person of Color, Beltran's work is deeply influenced by the rich tapestry of experiences and histories in New Mexico. Living on Tewa Land in the Northern NM Rio Grande Valley, Beltran's photography is an homage to the original indigenous stewards who have nurtured these lands for millennia.
Through their lens, viewers are invited to experience New Mexico's iconic landscapes and surreal sunsets with a sense of respect and gratitude, acknowledging the importance of moving through these spaces with mindfulness and reverence.
Jimmy Dean Horn, an accomplished printmaker, complements Beltran's photography with his intricate and evocative prints. Horn's work delves into the spiritual and physical journeys that define human experience, drawing from a wide array of cultural symbols and narratives. His prints offer a rich, textured exploration of identity and the myriad routes we traverse in life.
